Hey guys, thought I'd update a couple pictures of my outfit of the day today. I had a math test this morning and the weather was awesome so I took advantage by wearing no sleeves! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for better/warmer weather this weekend/next week! Happy hump day!

PS. Peep my new red bunny phone case hehe! I got a pink and black one too.

Monochromatic trends are huge this season! I think there is something so chic and awesome about a monochromatic/tonal outfit especially if you add one pop of color to it with an accessory, under shirt or shoes! Even though I've been seeing monochrome styles all over the runway and on celebrities, it's a super easy-to-do trend. You can easily mix and match similar pinks, reds, greens, blues, or purples you have in your closet. And don't forget about black. All black will never go out of style and it's the perfect way to do monochrome at night time. I'm so excited about this trend! Don't be scared to mix tones, they don't have to be the SAME shade. I think monochrome is definitely a transitional trend you can bring into the rest of the seasons, especially fall. Imagine those rust colors in a monochrome outfit, mmmm!

Colored denim is EVERYWHERE and I LOVE it! Everyone from stores in the mall to high end designers are doing it. Colored denim is the probably the easiest way to spice up a dull wardrobe (for all us black clothing lovers out there) and turn any outfit into a spring one! I'm obsessed with all the color I have been seeing from neons to pastels and can't help but think how colorful and fun colored denim can be in the day time yet make a statement at night time.

Here are some ideas for styling colored denim:

What colors are you dying to get your hands on? And how are you wearing your colored denim?

Prints on prints on prints (*sings in tune of racks on racks on racks*). Stripes, floral, tribal, paisley, polka dots, we've been seeing them everywhere! And my favorite part of all the awesome prints this spring is wearing them together. Don't be afraid to mix and match prints this spring, everyone's doing it. I've been seeing fun print combos all over blogs, store displays, and in my personal wardrobe.

Below are some outfit ideas I put together for mixing prints this season! All are super do-able and contain awesome pieces for mixing and matching. Have fun with all the colored and printed pieces in your closet this spring, don't be afraid to try new combinations!

1. Sheer tops have been making their way in strongly. You can pretty much find them anywhere and the best part is you can wear them with anything! A sheer top with a black bra underneath paired up with some jeans and sandals can be the perfect day outfit but can be easily made into a night time look.

2. Sandal wedges are an awesome alternative to your bootie heels you've been wearing all winter. Pair them up with some jeans or throw them on with a maxi dress or skirt.

3. Colored denim is a way to make a statement. Throw on a bold pair of jeans and a white tee to keep it casual but definitely not un noticed. These have been showing up all over the place, they can be find pretty much anywhere.

4. Paisley print is a classic print that is being brought back in some trendy forms: mini dresses, silk blouses, cropped pants, and scarves. Don't be afraid to mix and match patterns, paisley is a great print to do so with.

5. High waisted denim came back and looks like it's here to stay. It's a perfect match for tucking a cute top in and can be worn with tights when it's just not warm enough yet. Try studding a pair of denim to add an individual touch to them.

6. High-low skirts are a great alternative to maxi skirts and can work a little better than the maxi for shorter people. They are everywhere in awesome colors and prints and look great paired with wedges or sandals.

7. A flower crown is very 'Coachella-isque' but can add the perfect feminine touch to anything this spring.

8. Graphic tees are an awesome piece for year round. In the spring they can serve as the perfect match to colored/printed denim, high-low/maxi skirts, and just about anything else you want to dress down.

9. Pastel nail polish reminds me of Easter, but I love it! Every brand is doing it, so should your nails!

10. Round sunnies are a fun and quirky way to top off any outfit you put on this spring.

Have fun getting dressed this season and don't be afraid to try new things and step out of your comfort zone!
